Belinda: “Aw man guys. We gotta good haul this year! We even got dat dere’ Pocky I keep hearin’ about.”
Tasma: I don’t think I can eat another.
Kai: Hee hee, I have another kinda in mind!
Jackie: Someone get her off me…. Geeze girlie, keep eatin’ like this, and I’ma be a squashed Pumpkin Pie by Thanksgiving…
Self Critique: Considering I did this VERY QUICKLY, there’s bound to to be many errors. One I can see right away is the ass area. The dress is supposed to be squeezing her butt, but somewhere around the bottom the illusion gets lost. The arm to our right could’ve had the foreshortening performed a little better.
HOOOOO! MAAAAAAAN! I spent the entirety of today working on this pic from sketch to completion. And lemme tell ya, I’m exhausted. I’m not even sure what exactly to say at the moment seeing as I just exported this image and am now writing this up, but I’ll try my best. So then, to crank this out in time, I had to make due with the fact that this wouldn’t have a variant attached to it. This is the only version of this pic there is. Still, I was gotta add a little somethin’, at least for Kai. The speed of doing this was kinda thanks in part to the hentai manga pages that I did a couple of months ago, and all the panels had detail shading (and obviously no variants). So doing something like this on a tight deadline was almost nothing (if exhausting). The pose came from my new Kantaro Yabuki Body-Chan model, which was also used for The Fearless* Belinda Cauldron that was released yesterday. On the schematic phace, I used the perspective tool to bring both the foot and arm to our right closer to the viewer. I had to mess around with the mesh transform to get the butt right, but settled on freehanding during one of the sketch phases once I had a better idea of what I wanted.
The candy was interesting. I actually took a picture of some candy corn, Buncha Crunch, and Pocky sticks, and traced their outline. Once that was done, I used the Bokuman Cel-Shade method to quickly shade them in. I didn’t use the exact same procedures, but close enough to match the soft shading of Belinda and her colleagues. I wasn’t sure what to do about the background. I was ready to have there be some grass. But Decided to go the somewhat abstract route and put a starry sky instead. To be hones, I just wanted to show off what I can do with night skies this time seeing as it was hard to see most of the sky in The Fearless* Belinda Cauldron.
With that said, many thanks to those both personal and online that wish me a Happy Birthday yesterday. Have a Happy Halloween. And remember…
Have a Fearless* Day!
Done on Clip Studio Paint. Intuos4 tablet used. Body-chan model traced for schematic skeleton. Drawn the rest of the way.
